Commission a piece
A piece takes from 40 hours to more than 200, depending on the carving and the number of drawers. Museum-held works are not for sale. Similar pieces, and new designs, are built to commission.
1. Consult
Tell me the piece, the period, and how you hope to use it. Commissions are subject to availability and acceptance.
2. Design and wood
Each piece begins with research into the original period furniture and scaled drawings. The hardwood is chosen for its grain, its workability at 1/12 scale, and its accuracy to the period.
3. Price, timing, and deposit
Pricing, timeline, and specifications are discussed and agreed before work begins. A deposit may be required. Each piece is priced on request.
4. Delivery
The finished piece is packed in custom-fitted foam in a rigid box and shipped with full insurance. International shipping is available.
